[TO PURCHASE A PAINTING, PLEASE CONTACT ME AT: lutefiskalaska@msn.com] Anyone who creates art has life experiences that affect them; some of my important life experiences include being part of an immigrant Irish family in Boston; military service in the US Air Force with a tour of duty in Francisco Franco's Spain; adventuresome, capable, caring wife and children, experiencing the Civil Rights/Viet Nam era; public school teaching in Petersburg, SE Alaska; working in the fishing industry as a cold storage worker, fish buyer, deckhand and salmon troller; hiking the desert trails of Coachella Valley, California; art excursions through central Mexico; discovering the art of Paul Klee, Jean Arp, and Roger Hilton of St. Ives, England; studying the writings of art educator David Friend.
